Welcome to the very first edition of Crate Digs Podcast. I've decided to start this blog, podcast and series of other ideas to entertain the voices in my head. Hopefully it will also entertain you too! Every month there's to be a regular 'radio show' style edition, with a few extra's thrown in.

These are from a recent trip to Amsterdam record store Rush Hour Records. Thoroughly recommend popping through there if you're passing through. That Andrés album is a peach. Worth having for the living room fireplace collection.

Kapote - Grandmaster Edit

This is the stand out track for me, the original here:

The original to Kapote's (Toytonics label founder) Grandmaster Edit.

So to be honest, we should all be pretty grateful to have this one. Right now on discogs the original is going for £500. Kapote clearly needed to have this one tracked and mapped, and praise the man for releasing it on Toytonics. What an edit, it's an absolute banger. "I am the grandmaster lover!". Couldn't stop saying that to random people for a couple of weeks.

The Toytonics guys are playing at XOYO in London this month on Friday 31st. https://www.residentadvisor.net/events/1352435 - I might have to pop along to see what's what.

That's it for January 2020. Look out for the 'Spotdigs' podcast coming up in the next week or so. Jay.
