Fleetwood Magneto spent his childhood on the South Side of Chicago immersed in the city’s various music genres.  For his 10th birthday, he received a special gift ─ Technics 1200’s ─ and began his journey.  Whether it was a South Side house party or a high school dance, Magneto was the go-to DJ.  He balanced fun times behind the decks with time inside the studio, learning music engineering and production.

Magneto left Chicago for New York in the mid-90s at the height of hip-hop’s golden era.  He worked his way from intern to sound engineer at several well-known studios, He settled in for two years at Daddy House, the home of Bad Boy Records, and worked alongside Biggie Smalls, Faith Hill and 112. Eventually, he secured coveted positions as both an engineer and as the resident DJ at New York’s famed S.O.B’s nightclub. While there, he opened for stars like Ryan Leslie, Miguel, Roy Ayers and Leela James, among others.

The depth and breadth of Magneto’s experience yields a powerful purpose: to globally present and produce music with heart-felt energy that heals the soul.

Catch him every Monday 7pm EST (Tuesday 12am GMT).
